In the knowledge economy era, human resource has become critical resource for enterprise development. Especially in the high-tech companies, the status of knowledge workers is elevated to a strategic level. Currently, the a lot of problems are exposed in the management of knowledge workers, high turnover, low productivity reflected low organizational commitment, which have troubled high-tech enterprise management. Companies are finding effective ways to solve these problems.After many years of research, scholars have proved that some of organizational career management practices can make positive effect on the employees'turnover will and job satisfaction. However, previous studies have some limitations, such as the relatively narrow scope of the study, too large samples. In order to explore how career management affects on the organizational commitment of knowledge workers in the high-tech enterprises, this study takes knowledge workers of high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang as the research object. The study refers to Williamson's point on organizational career management (recruitment, selection and performance management; training; career counseling) and Allen & Meyer's idea on the organizational commitment (affective commitment; continuant commitment; normative commitment).The author separately researched into 6 companies and 3 companies in Hangzhou and Ningbo, after 4 months of hard work, collected a total of 200 valid questionnaires. Based on the reliability and validity analysis, firstly study the demographic variables have different means on organizational career management and organizational commitment by independent sample T test and ANOVA; then discuss the significant relationships between the organizational career management and organizational commitment of knowledge workers by correlation analysis; Finally, establishes forecast equation between the organizational career management and organizational commitment according to the regression analysis. After all, put up some recommendations on organizational career management for high-tech enterprises career.
