Abstract/Summary:
Organizational citizenship behavior has been a research hotspot in the field of human resourcemanagement since it was presented. Job embeddedness theory also has gained increasing attentionrecently. Although the academic circle aboard has conducted many researches to job embeddednessand organizational citizenship behavior, the very few people have carried the empirical analysissystem under the Chinese culture. This study starts from the model of job embeddedness anddesigns a scale which can be used in Chinese enterprises,and then explor the relationship betweenjob embeddedness and organizational citizenship.In this study, we choose the knowledge workers in high-tech enterprises as our object.Based onthe review of literatures and the data analysis from the questionnaire survey, we get the followingconclusions:(1)Through the methods of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factoranalysis,we find out a four-factor job embeddedness model: organization fit, organizationsacrifice,community sacrifice, community links is innovated;(2)Significant differences were foundon the knowledge workers’job embeddedness among ages,marital status and education;(3) Throughthe methods of correlational analysis and regression analysis,we find out that knowledge workers’job embeddedness has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenshipbehavior;(4)Hierarchical regression analysis finds out that job satisfaction and organizationalcommitment play a partial intermediary role on knowledge workers’ job embeddedness andorganizational commitment.Summary and forward-looking forecastes are also mentioned at the end of the paper. The authorgives high-tech enterprises some advices on how to build knowledge workers’ job embeddednessand hopes to provide the management practice of domestic high-tech enterprises with somereference through this research.
