With the automotive industry entering new rapid development and highly competitive industry cycle, automobile factories are strengthening the sense of competition and cost sensitivity, and increasing focus on technology and management innovation to reduce costs, increase business efficiency and occupy market opportunities. The continuous improvement of logistics operations, which is one of the key means of enhancing competitiveness and reducing operating costs, has always been the focus of automobile factories. And auto-parts logistics is considered to be the core areas of automotive logistics operations, due to its highly complex and technical. Internally it is related to procurement, technology, quality, production, finance and other business operations; externally it links parts'suppliers and automotive factory's assembly line, making the upstream and downstream operate efficiently in a coordinated manner. It can be said that the scientific and effective operation mode of parts logistics is the source of the power of responding to the changing market environment.Firstly, this article summarizes the current various parts logistics operation modes, from the viewpoint of transportation and warehousing, logistics integration and demand-driven approach; analysis the key factors that influence the selection of the parts logistics modes and operation performance; and points out the main problems of current automotive factory parts logistics system.Referencing the software development process capability maturity model, this article develops the automotive factory's parts logistics operation capability maturity model, and then describes the characteristics and key process domains of each maturity levels. Content and representation of "Target", "Practice" and other model elements are also introduced. Meanwhile this paper proposes the capability maturity model implementation framework based on IDEAL model, which is path and guide of improving the automotive factory parts logistics'operation.Then this paper proposes simulation optimization platform based on Arena, which is used as the optimization engine of JIT auto-parts supply model to achieve the balance between logistics cost and shortage risk. This approach provides another technical route for the automotive factory parts logistics'mode selection and parameter optimization.Finally, this article introduces the case of the XL Motor Company parts logistics operation model's optimization. This case analysis the status and problems of XL Company, and put forward the overall optimization framework and specific measures, meanwhile the effectiveness of the measures is verified by simulation.
