With the development of human society, the environmental issues gradually become the focus of people's attention. Many experts think that carbon dioxide is the key factor of global warming. Climate warming will cause a series of environmental problems, such as the accelerating melting of earth's poles glaciers, rising sea levels, natural disaster, etc. Climate warming has posed a serious threat to mankind living environment. Therefore, the study on estimating of carbon emission intensity and measures on carbon emission reduction has certain practical significance. Currently petrochemical industry has the largest greenhouse gas emission, it burns a lot of coal, oil, natural gas, etc, in industrial process .The carbon dioxide these fuels produced will aggravate global warming and cause greenhouse effect after emitting into the atmosphere. Therefore, the study on estimating of carbon emission intensity and measures on carbon emission reduction has certain practical significance.This paper firstly overviews the current situation on carbon emissions, studies on estimating of carbon emission through analysis, introduces system dynamic concept combining carbon emissions characteristics in petrochemical industry. System dynamics is a modeling method for solving complex problem for process the relationship between system behavior and time changing. This paper analyzes system dynamics, systematic thinking, system simulation mechanism, and points out that system dynamics has feasibility in application of carbon emissions estimation problem in petrochemical industry. It adopts system simulation methods according to the characteristics of carbon source in petrochemical industry, and puts forward to some related issues and suggestions in modeling process.This paper analysis the characteristics of carbon source emissions in petrochemical industry, uses the system simulation method to construct estimation model and related application slave module. Through the simulation experiment it gets a good effect. This shows that using simulation model in carbon emissions in petrochemical industry is a feasible way. Finally, it analysis related factors of carbon emissions in petrochemical industry according to the estimation results and puts forward to some suggestion in carbon emission reduction. This article studies estimating of carbon emission intensity and measures on carbon emission reduction in petrochemical industry, the research results that will be studied for later analysis and research on environmental problems have certain attend value and practical value.
