Study On Influence Of Communication To Knowledge Integration Process For Design-type Knowledge Team

Taking intelligence, knowledge, experience and technical support as bases, guests'needs as guideline, a design-type knowledge work team provides satisfied solutions for production. Thus all team members must communicate and share their abilities and talents in the team and between teams with internet, telephone and by face-to-face communication, so as to realize knowledge creation and eventually provide the most satisfied solution to guests. Therefore, an investigation on the influence of communication on knowledge integration of a design-type knowledge work team is of great importance. In this paper, the effect of communication on knowledge integration is studied by investigative test, interview, questionnaire survey and so on. The research work in this paper can be summarized as:①Based on the introduction of the concept of design-type knowledge work and knowledge integration, the process of knowledge integration of a design-type knowledge work team is analyzed. Then the conclusion that it is a process going forward circularly and spirally is drawn.②Impact factors of knowledge integration of the design-type knowledge work team is studied on the team level and individual level, and then it is found that communication is one of the most important factors.③Taking face-to-face communication team and electronic media communication team as study objects, an investigation test of the influence of communication form on knowledge integration of the design-type knowledge work team is conducted. The result shows that in different communication form, active frequency and time of every kind of knowledge are different in the process of knowledge integration.④The process of knowledge integration in the form of team synergy is validated by interview and observation on the knowledge workers in R&D team in a manufacturing industry. Then the influence of communication on the process is discussed.⑤Based on investigation tests and interview study, the process of knowledge integration oriented to team synergy of design-type knowledge work team is analyzed in detail on two aspects including communication form and communication process. The mutual communication model of knowledge in design-type knowledge work team is constructed including two kinds of communication, and the knowledge communication process of the team contains knowledge, encoding, channel, decoding, noise, feedback, background etc.⑥Study the inner effect of knowledge integration process with questionnaire survey, examine the reliability and validity of the statistical data to ensure its validity, and then make correlation analysis and regression analysis of the collected data. The result shows that communication frequency, informality of communication channels, and richness of communication media all has a positive influence on knowledge integration, and that knowledge transmission and sharing are bases of knowledge creation.⑦According to the result of researches in this paper, several suggestions are given to promote the process of knowledge integration of the design-type knowledge work team.
