Analysis And Exploration Of Innovation Modes For Industry-university-institute Cooperation

China plans to build an innovation-oriented country in 2020, Industry-University-Research (IUR) cooperative innovation is an important activity units of national and regional innovation system. If IUR cooperation can bring significant benefits to all parties if it is carried out properly. In a word, the study on IUR cooperation is very significant. IUR cooperation has made certain achievements and exposed many of the problems at last three decades. Existing IUR cooperative innovation modes make some obstacles for the smooth development of IUR cooperation and bring in waste of social resources. How to clear current obstacles and explore new modes means a lot to our goals to build an innovative country and update our domestic industries.Combining the techniques of literatures surveys, comparing analyses, data statistics, empirical Study, paper puts some discoveries for IUR cooperative innovation modes and gets some conclusions. Firstly, paper states backgrounds,ideas as well as significances of the study. Secondly, it reviews the basic theories and related researches of IUR cooperation. Based on these, later article has laid good academic foundation. Wisconsin Idea, the national innovation theory, the triple helix theory are the important theories to support this paper. Thirdly, aiming at the problems of the existing models, paper selects three advanced cases which are Silicon Valley, Japan National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute to compare. Basing on Comparison and reality, paper think that IUR cooperative innovation model should be designed in many areas, such as the model design, overall positioning, concept innovation and institutional mechanisms, in order to make differences with existing IUR institutions. Lastly, paper selects a new IUR institution (Shanghai Advanced Industrial Technology Research Institute) which can reflect the exploration for empirical research. The essay digs its operational problems and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problem.
