Study On The Mechanism And Effect Of OEM Operating Mode Under The Background Of Economic Globalization

Under the background of economic globalization, with accelerated economic globalization and the rapid development of MNC, started from the late 1950's, OEM operating mode has developed from simple traditional producer cooperation to advanced operating mode such as mulriple OEM, reverse OEM and etc.Foreign researches on OEM have mainly focus on the benefit of outsourcers and the relationship between suppliers and outsourcers. However domestic researches mostly remained at the operating level, such as analysis of OEM's advantages and disadvantages and the operating methods. There are few related empirical researches.Based on the discussions of the basic concept, connotation, forms, origin and development of OEM, this thesis explored the mechanism of OEM generation and development, and came to the following conclusions: OEM is the product of deepen specialization made by different factor endowment; OEM is the product of bottleneck that enterprises couldn't reduce their cost in the product cycle after they developed to standard produce; OEM is the product of the process of MNC adjusting its core of industrial value chain; OEM is the product of inner-industry work division on the premise of imperfect competition and increasing scale profits; OEM is the product of the process of firms pursuing their target maximizing their profit.This thesis adopted mathematical model, analyzed the effect of OEM. Through the empirical study on the case of Galanz-a typical case of OEM, this thesis fully proved the above analysis on the effect of OEM.
