| Agriculture cooperation has been keeping a leading role in the economic exchange and trade between Fujian and Taiwan, and gets a great progress. Especially since the Fuzhou and Zhangzhou cross-strait agriculture cooperation experimental zone were set in 1997, agriculture cooperation between the two areas has got great achievements. On July, 2005, the establishment of Fujian cross-strait agriculture cooperation experimental zone with approval of the central government indicates the agriculture cooperation experimental zone has been extended from Fuzhou and Zhangzhou to the whole province, which means agriculture cooperation and exchange between Fujian and Taiwan will enter into a new stage, and will lead to a new consideration on how to achieve the new development of agriculture cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan.The article cites the theories about comparative cost and international division to demonstrate that agriculture cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan can optimize the resource collocation and enhance the welfare of both sides. Based on porter's theory on competitive advantage of nations, the article believes only through promoting agriculture cooperation continuously, can Fujian and Taiwan build up the regional agriculture competitive advantage through agriculture cooperation. As the agriculture cooperation is growing mature, the achievement of the regional agriculture competitive advantage by promoting cooperation depends to a large extent on the innovative mechanism of cooperation.The article adopts system method to explain the dependence of agriculture cooperation and cooperation mechanism. In the light of specific condition, this article analyzes the mechanism under the experimental zone pattern, which will help explain a set of ideal mechanism that has capability to promote the agriculture cooperation.
