In current Information era, it's very hard for the enterprises to adapt to the aggravated market competition only by the traditional management means. Therefore they need to draw support from the newest achievement of the information technology to set up the advanced mechanism of management and improve their operation management. Recently more and more domestic enterprises have been attracted by the management ideas of ERP and management thought too, while almost all the global top 500 companies had successfully implemented the integrated ERP system in the past few years. Under the requirement for this kind of social environment condition, the management thought and software of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) rise quietly in our country and spread rapidly, ERP becomes one of the hot topics of current enterprises. The practice of ERP project investment needs guidance of the theory and method of various fields, but the research about ERP project at present is concentrated in the function of ERP, software selecting of ERP, the implementing method of ERP project and success or failure analyzing etc. and there is relatively less research on the project assessment of ERP investment, while the result of ERP project investment assessment is exactly the concerned question of the investment subject.This thesis, which just meets this need, in terms of economics, using the theories and methods of the investment project assessment and project management, makes a certain research and exploration of the project Investment of ERP, provides the cost-income quantitative analysis model and method, structures out the financial assessment model of the assessment of ERP project investment, and then uses the models and methods to analyze a real example of ERP investment project.This thesis mainly uses the combination of theory-practice, positive research and logical deduction of the theory to do the research. In the mean time, this thesis uses the investigation method of documents to collect the existing research results extensively. While in theoretical research, this thesis pays more attention to the practical values. That is after analyzing models in the financial assessment of ERP project investment, it uses this model to carry on case research, and this makes the models having stronger effectiveness and bigger reference value.This thesis is divided into six parts in all.
