The reliable and effective logistic operation guarantees the building-up and reservation of the competitive advantage that enterprises possesses. The right mode adopted in the logistic operation can not only help great in the realization of the integral goals, strengthen the competitive power, but also gains more revenues for the company. People get to know that business flow (including product developing , product manufacturing and retailing sales) is of vital importance for enterprises to meet with demands of customers and it is logistic that plays a key role in these business flows. People are more concerned with the theory and practice of the third party logistic, contract one as well as that of service purchase with gradual formation of the logistic industry.Recent study on the logistic industry in our country mainly focuses on its concentricity. Most maintains that logistic enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones, should run in scale by way of annexing, joint venture and virtual combination to improve trade concentricity. But is it the only way for small and medium-sized logistic enterprises to run business? The dissertation is to make a deep study into it.First, it studies the development and the school of logistic system with its theory introduced, definition given and classification made to the main business body of logistic.Second, an analysis is made on the status of the third party market in China and the property of small and medium-sized logistic enterprises. It is characteristic of superior on resource and inferior in cost and management. On the basis of this analysis and that on the developing trend of the third party logistic, the article points out what problems concerning about the survival and the development the small and medium-sized logistic enterprises are being faced with.Third, a strategic case of the logistic business mode in one of such enterprises in Tianjin has been studied. It works out the characteristics of logistic demand followed by a concrete plan of the logistic business mode made accordingly. The case also proves that those logistic enterprises are capable of expanding its business scope by way of offering logistic service to small and middle companies provided that there is a further division in the market of the logistic service.
