Along with the improvements of urban communities, small and medium-sized supermarkets provide convenience to people's daily consumption. Since the market competition becomes more and more intensive, chain supermarkets raise their standard for various small amount frequent deliveries. To study the feature and development of logistics distribution of small and medium-sized supermarkets, we get better understanding of the regulation and direction of this retail phenomenon.In this dissertation, we look into the features and regulation of cargo circulation and distribution system of small and medium-sized supermarkets. This kind of supermarkets will be the main component of future commodities, because there's a trend for its uprising. But people keep concerning about its development, because they are different from big supermarkets, who can build a suitable circulation and distribution system with the help of considerable financial support. According to industrial and development condition, small and medium-sized retail supermarkets can adapt their distribution pressure, such as supplier-delivery, outsourcing-delivery, cooperation with big supermarkets and etc. With the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of different delivery modes, we make a thorough study on the experiences of retail supermarkets both domestic and abroad. Also, we analyze the main functions of supermarket cargo circulation center, which leads to the optimization of consumer demands and delivery routes. Together with the introduction of common info-technologies, such as bar-code, laser technology, GIS and GPS, there's a systematical research on computer-based technologies which makes great contribution to supermarket cargo distribution. At the end of this dissertation, there's a general forecast of small and medium-sized supermarkets in urban communities. |
