The Researching On The Development Of China MICE Tourism Industry

MICE tourism is the inevitable result of the development of MICE economy. It is an advanced, special tourism activity that has become a riper industry in abroad.Since the 1990s, with the economy development of our country, MICE tourism has gradually sprung up at home, and begun to exert an important influence to all aspects of the economic life of our country. Broad market prospects and higher profits of MICE tourism make our tourism industry which is in transformation period see another power source to develop quickly.Therefore, our government and field of learning have begun to pay attention to the study on MICE tourism in recent years, but some concept problems of MICE tourism are not clearly completely, the relation between domestic MICE industry and tourism industry is also relatively loose, the spatial layout of meeting hall is not rationally enough, the market operation is poor efficient. Facing this situation, we should conscientiously study the connotation, characteristic of MICE tourism, analyze its existing conditions, compare the mode of MICE tourism at home and abroad, and then find out the suitable operational mode, speed up the corresponding countermeasure to the development of our country's MICE tourism.This paper firstly analyzes and defines the meaning of MICE tourism, the relation between MICE and tourism industry, and its characteristics. It points out that MICE tourism is a kind of comprehensive, thematic special tourism product. It regards MICE as its main attractor, takes good use of the opportunity of MICE to attract tourists to the host place to negotiate the business, exchange communicating and have a sightseeing, to provide tourists with good services in overall aspects such as eating, lodging, transportation, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment and so on, to stimulate their comprehensive consumption, thus create the good economic, social and environmental benefit for travel destination. And this text also analyzes economic conditions, political and legal terms, position and natural conditions, scientific and technical conditions of MICE tourism development.This paper analyzes the main factors which influence the development of MICE tourism by comparatively researching on the mode of domestic and foreign MICE tourism, studying on the current developing situation and existing problems of our country's MICE tourism. The main factors respectively are: the coordination of the relation between MICE industry and tourism industry; the coordination of the developing area of MICE tourism; the coordination of relations among government, associations, and the enterprises in the development of MICE tourism. On the basis, this paper also proposes optimized mode to the development of China's MICE tourism and concrete the development countermeasure.Finally, this paper puts forward the development countermeasure of MICE tourism of Qingdao on the basis of combining the current developing situation and the analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of Qingdao MICE tourism.
