The Economic Integration In Southern Fujian Province And The Construction Of The Mechanism Of Governmental Cooperation

Multi-dimensional characteristics arise in the current world. The most eye-catching phenomenon is the occurrence and the combination of globalized and regional trend. The increasing trend of regionalization goes with the process of globalization all the time. Since the strategic concept of setting up the economic zone in Fujian Province was presented by Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Fujian Provincial Government, integration of regional economies in southern Fujian is becoming more and more important. However, the progress of the reunite has been obstructed by the current regional administrative polices and regulations. A lot of problems come out, such as so-called"regional economy", difficulties in dealing with the regional public affairs and the regional malign competition. This paper holds that the primary obstacle in the acceleration of regional economy is not the administrative division but the lack of scientific and reasonable mechanism in cooperation between local governments within the region. Therefore, to solve the problem thoroughly, theoretical and practical analysis should be conducted. In addition, governments should take an active part in establishing cooperative mechanism from the angles of multi-centered management and compound administration. So that the provision of public products and the administration of cross-regions can be obtained and the strategic goal of regional economic integration can be achieved.Part I: The proposal of regional economic integration and the governmental cooperation.
