The issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers are one of the key factors of making the rural modernization and harmonious development of national economy in our country difficult. It's the rural socio-economic development level that plays a decisive part in our whole national development. So, if the rural problems can't be solved properly, there won't be an enormous leap for the national economic development in China. Since land problems are at the heart of the matter, then how to deal well with the problem of aging security for farmers losing land is the key. Taking Wujiang, in the southernmost Jiangsu province, from the 1980s' to the early 21st century as the research object, an exhaustive investigation and analysis about the aging security problems of the farmers losing land under the background of industrialization and urbanization has been carried out. for this article. The structure of this paper is as follows:Firstly,The analysis of the current situation of the farmers losing land in Wujiang is presented. From the end of the 70s to the beginning of the 80s of last century, with the rapid economic development of two decades, the demand for industrial land and municipal construction land has been increasing steadily. The requisition of the rural land is soaring year by year, which contributes to the gradual reduction of the arable land. Meanwhile, a great many fanners are streaming into urban areas, so at present Wujiang fanners' actitivities in the field are driven neither by the pursuit of market profit, nor by the needs of survival and development. In fact, the farming in Wujiang has become mostly "subsistence allowances for the farmers".Secondly,The differences between the current rural social security and the current city social security have been described by comparing the economic development level, the fund sources of social security and the urban residents' and rural residents' proportion of social security insurance. The importance of setting up rural social security and the function of rural social security in the whole social security have been carefully analyzed in terms of society and economy. The author's thinking about setting up rural social security is based on these considerations.
