A Research On The Choice Of EOL Products'Reverse Logistics Modes

In recent years, along with the enhancing of public environmental protection consciousness and the increasing demand for profit source by enterprises, reverse logistics arises and has become a hot issue which attracts great attention by both the scholars and the enterprisers. As a kind of reverse logistics, EOL (end-of-life) product's reverse logistics becomes more and more important with the advancement of science & technology and the acceleration of products life cycle led by the change of people's consumption concept. As far as an enterprise is concerned, there are five modes to reuse EOL product:reuse after simple repair, refurbish, reproduce, recirculate of the spare part and recirculate of the materical. Reuse EOL product can achieve following purposes: reducing production cost, increasing economic profit;fully using renewable resources, promoting sustainable development; increaseing customers'satisfaction and protecting ecological environment, promoting enterprise's public image. The enterprise should choose the right EOL products'reverse logistics mode for reusing the EOL product according to its own condition.The main purpose of this paper is to study the choice of enterprise EOL product's reverse logistics mode. Firstly, it outlines the basic concept of the EOL product reverse logstics and analyses the three modes of enterprise EOL products'reverse logistics modes. Then, it focuses on the choice of enterprise EOL product's reverse logistics modes. Based on enforced balanced score card (EBSC), which introduces the evaluation system of the choise of enterprise EOL product's reverse logistics modes, and makes a choice with AHP. Finally it carries on a case study and shows the application of the methods in the paper.
