| City is the carrier of modern economic and social development. The sustainable development of city is important to impulse the sustainable development of the whole country. It is also the key force of the worldwide sustainable development. As the biggest developing country, sustainable development is especially important for China. Therefore, more attention is paid to the study on sustainable development. Evaluating the ability of sustainable development is more significant. Although there are many experts studying this subject, most of them study to evaluate the ability of national sustainable development. The study on evaluating the ability of urban sustainable development is rare. Therefore, the study on evaluating the ability of urban sustainable development is significantly important in both theory and practice.This paper compares the aim of designing and the specific indicators used between the sustainable development indicator systems and other urban development indicator systems. And this paper analyzes the experiences and advantages in building the systems and selecting indicators of the above urban development indicator systems. Then this paper connects the problems that block the urban sustainable development of our country to selecting indicators. Using the Frequency Method and the Theory Analyzing Method, this paper builds the urban sustainable development indicator system. |
