Research On Tianjin's Industrial Distribution Based On The Industrial Agglomeration Theory

Agglomeration development is the essence of economic activity; industrial agglomeration is the general rule of economic development, the inevitable product of industrialisation advancement, the important origin of industrial competitive power, and embodies the concentration of regional economic levels of development. The competitive advantage displayed by industrial agglomeration promotes economies of scale, innovation and technical proliferation, and brings from this a deepened specialisation in the division of work with characteristic cooperation. This has vital significance regarding the promotion of local industry's competitive power and coordinated development. Within the economic globalisation and with the background of regional economic integration in the development process of industrialisation under the conditions of a market economy, the significance of research in industrial distribution lies in how to fully utilise the rules and effects of industrial agglomeration, and unify the functions of government and market mechanisms; to adjust and optimise local industrial distribution; to guide the impetus leading industrial agglomeration development; and to promote both the optimisation of industrial structure and industrial international competitive power.
