Research On Industrial Structure Adjustment, Industrial Space Agglomeration And Economic Transition And Promotion In Anhui Province

The international financial crisis in 2008 enters the global economy into the major adjustment and transition period, and China’s economy also enters into the new normal period of growth rating down, which making economic transition and promotion has been a worldwide project. In the current situation of the new normal period, there are problems of structural and spatial imbalances in the China’s economy. The poor industrial structure and industrial space are the two major limiting factors, with the constraints of labor supply, resources and environment highlight the inevitabilities of industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration. Consequently, on the basis of the objective rules of economic development, we should explore a way to the economic transition and promotion, which is in line with China’s national conditions and takes industrial transition as the base.With an eye to the era significant topic about economic transition and promotion, the paper explores the method of Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion from industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration in the current new normal period. We describe the present situation about industrial structure and industrial space and use the DEA-Malmquist model to analyze the trends and rules about Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion, and then prove how industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration influence Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion with the econometrics models. In the meantime, series of development countermeasure about economic transition and promotion are put forward.Firstly, the paper analyzes the industrial situation of Anhui Province integrally from the two aspects: structure and space. On the one hand, we come to the conclusion from the whole industries and the inner industries based on Shift-share method and BCG Matrix method as follows. Economic development of Anhui Province mostly depends on the gross growth instead of industrial structure benefits. The unreasonable industrial structure results in the weak industrial competitive power. Hence, we should promote the dominant industries to accelerate Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion. On the other hand, we come to the conclusion via analyzing the industrial space agglomeration situation based on spatial correlation and location quotient as follows. Space agglomeration of the tertiary industries is not obvious in Anhui Province. So we also should expedite the industrial space agglomeration to boost Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion.Secondly, economic transition and promotion of Anhui Province is reflected in the TFP’s contributions to economic development. We come to the conclusion that TFP has a strong trend to promote Anhui Province economic development during the particular time. It shows that the transformation of Anhui Province’s economic development mode which taking the form of high input, high cost, high emission and low output is changing step by step. However, considering the small contributions, the transformation of economic development mode is of overwhelming importance about promoting Anhui Province economic development. Meanwhile, there are large regional differences of economic transition and promotion by means of calculating the annual TFP variation trend of each district in Anhui Province. For the effect of economic transition and promotion, Southern Anhui is the best, Middle Anhui takes second place and Northern Anhui is the worst.Thirdly, industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration all might advance the regional economic transition and promotion from the theoretical analysis. Accordingly, the paper analyzes empirically how industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration influence Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion in 2003-2013 through building panel data model and spatial model. Industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration are positive correlated with economic transition and promotion. In other words, optimal adjustment of industrial structure and reasonable agglomeration of industrial space could all accelerate transition and promotion of Anhui Province’s economy.Finally, on the basis of summing up the conclusion of the full paper, we will try to put forward recommendations to advance Anhui Province’s economic transition and promotion from industrial structure adjustment and industrial space agglomeration.
