Analysis On The Regional Economic Development Disparity In Fujian Province

This paper uses many econometric measures to analyze the development of regional economic development disparities in Fujian province and the factors of affecting counties'disparities at the present time from dynamic state and static state. In the dynamic state, the paper manages Theil coefficient which can be multitiered decompounded to survey the economic development disparities among the regions of eastern Fujian, southern Fujian, western Fujian, and northern Fujian, and disparities in regions, and disparities between 9 region-level cities. The regional disparities in Fujian province fluctuates distinctly with time, disparities between 9 region-level cities fluctuates lessly between 1978 and 1992, and ascends distinctly between 1994 and 2003; disparities in the eastern and southern of Fujian province fluctuates lessly between 1978 and 1992, and extends distinctly between 1993 and 2003, disparities in the eastern of Fujian province fluctuates most, and disparities in the western and northern of Fujian province discends; By collectivity, the larger the spatial dimension is, the more evidence the disparities are. In the static state, the paper on the base of defining the concept of resources position selects 11 variables which comprises the volume of the employed to compose regional resources position economic indicator system, at the same time it selects 58 counties and county-level cities as swatch regions, and manages principal component gene analysis to measure the regional integrational resources position and every composed resources position of swatch regions. The result of compositor on regional resources position is basically tally to the state of the art of county economy in Fujian province. The results of principal component gene analysis shows more: the manpower and capital resources position contributes the most to regional total resources position, they are the dominant factor in regional total resources position. The theoretics analysis and demonstration study shows: regional resources position has positive correlation with regional economic development; infrastructure and FDI resources position, manpower and capital resources position contributes more, and science and education resources position does not have correlation with economic development. The result of classify analysis proves the conclusion. Then the paper discussed the reason of economic development disparities in Fujian province from anthropogeography, manpower resource, capital,disparities in industry structure adjust and system factors. At last, the paper advances some countermeasures of the strategy of sustainable development to regional economy in Fujian province.
