Marketing research is a worldwide topic. If an enterprise wants to find an opportunity to develop itself in the intense marketing competition, marketing research is a necessary method.Along with the development of the national economy of China, unceasing enhancement of the industrialization degree, increasing demand of the clean energy, it indicates that the natural gas has a very wide development space. And the natural gas industry of China has a good foreground for development.This article has conducted the research on the marketing development of natural gas of China, introduced the strategic significance of natural gas industry toward the natural economy as well as the necessity of the marketing research; elaborated the development environment of Chinese natural gas industry from the domestic and foreign two aspects; analyzed some aspects on mining and production, demand and expense, price, market competition of Chinese natural gas; Using the time series forecast and the gray system forecast and so on mathematics methods, forecasted the production development and the market demand of Chinese natural gas industry; and briefly analyzed the opportunities and risk for investing in the natural gas industry of China.Through the analysis and the forecast, this article has dedicated the development tendency of Chinese natural gas industry, proposed some investment suggestions. That supplies the references for the related enterprises.
