As an special international container terminal, Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal Co., Ltd (QQCT), operate the vessel loading, storage, transshipment, refrigeration and split or unsplit container. QQCT is the most convenient and economical access for Huangdao and the western hinterland! The terminal container yard is the foundation and psyche for the Container Terminal, however, There are a lot of problems on the yard utilization, yard layout and work pattern, etc, for the container yard about 2,500,000sq.m.The yard planner of QQCT pay more attention to the factual operation, but short of the optimization of yard strategy, So that, the quality of yard planning and loading productivity is effected and embarrassed. Therefore, According to the current yard condition, the author analyzed the inherent advantages and disadvantages of the terminal container yard development, and use the advanced development optimization arithmetic to establish optimization model, then set up a suit of detailed yard management strategy. The goal is to optimize containers storage and yard space, to enhance the mechanism utilization, to improve on the system and operation programme, to realize the yard operation automatization. Then pull the development of our port, furthermore receiving the new century challenge.The object of the paper is going to set up a suit of method and process to yard management strategy , which is devoted to the terminal yard management scientifically and feasibly, at the same time, The strategy can establish the strong base for the yard father development, and offer the definite terminal management researching strategic guide.
