Border trade between the neighboring countries is a unique form of economic and trade. It is not only an initial form of international trade, but also an important component of foreign trade and economic activities , they have a different forms and features. The development of border trade between Thailand and Burma has a long history. The economy of this two countries and political life plays an important strategic role.Research on the current situation of Thailand-Burma border trade scale, commodity structure, routes, places and management systems. It is found that there are various border trade issues between Thailand and Burma, such as political instability, border conflict, reactionary armed, drug smuggling ,lack of human resources, lack of personal management and personal technical and information lagging trade, inadequate infrastructure, Border Trade disorder, instability in national policy, more restrictive policy, which restricts trade and other issues.Based on above analyses on the development of border trade between Thailand and Burma,the essayputs forward some basic measures to solve the problems. These measures include establishing international and regional economic cooperation, paying attention to human resources support, improving border trade infrastructure, standardizing the market and establishing special funds to promote Thailand-Burma border trade developments, maintaining the stability of border trade, actively developping border trade industrial areas, reducing cost of exports . Looking to the future, the Burma border trade in the global economic integration, regional economic integration and sub-regional economic cooperation in the background. It is bound to a bright future.
