This paper introduces, compares and analyzes the logistics systems of Walmart(China) and Carrefour(China) in its first part from these aspects: technology system, distribution center, the relationship with suppliers and so on. Then we get the conclusion that the logistics system of Walmart(China) is relatively more advanced, but the economic and transport situation of China is not good enough to make the advantage of its logistics appearance and also the number of its store is too few to get the scope effect. The logistics management system of Carrefour(China) trails that of Walmart(China). Although nowadays, the sales revenue of Carrefour(China) is much bigger than that of Walmart(China), in a longer sense, as the economy environment in China improves, Walmart(China) will have a great future. Meanwhile comparison and analysis of the two logistics systems shows us clearly what the domestic retailing companies should learn from them in the process of constructing their logistics systems. At last, it tells some methods for developing logistics system which are suitable to the domestic retailing companies. |
