| With further explorations of the ocean petroleum, more offshore platforms are built. As a result, the production wastes from those platforms are on a rise, particularly the waste water dumped into the ocean. The crude oil in the sewage will become an oil-film; even accumulate on the sea surface, seriously destroying the element and environment of the ocean. Accordingly, this paper is based on investigations, data collections and researches on the wastes from the offshore platforms, using Resource Management, Waste Management, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics to analyze the subject characters, time characters, spatial characters and physico-chemical characters of the waste, to give suggestions on the waste management of the offshore platforms.Chapter 2 concludes the subject characters of the waste generation, finding the key subjects that will generate wastes as emphases in offshore platforms waste management.Chapter 3 summarizes the time character of the waste the offshore platforms produce, including its daily, monthly, seasonal and yearly characters. As a result, the key industries and key seasons in which the waste will mainly be produced is found out, serving as an important basis to design the collection and disposal equipment of the wastes.Chapter 4 researches on the spatial characters of the waste, finding the main areas they will be produced.Chapter 5 analyzes the physico-chemical characters of the wastes from the offshore platforms, and raises the problem of accumulated pollution.Chapter 6 comprehensively studies on the results of the former chapters, consequently proposing the manage strategies to realize the reduction, resourcelization, and harm-free disposals of the wastes from the offshore platforms. The results of this research can be important quantitative basis and decision supports for the marine environment authorities and ocean petroleum production enterprises to implement their waste management. This paper includes 13 graphs, 15 tables and 23 references. |
