The Relational Analysis Between Consumption Structure And Industrial Structure

To obtain substantial development of a national economy, it is necessary to optimize its economic structure, and the starting point is industrial structure optimization. The assessing standards for industrial structure optimization are the same for consumption structure optimization. Therefore, to study industrial structure development rules, first of all we have got to study the consumption structure development rules. With the development of the economy, the economic system reform deepens continuously, and correspondingly the consumption structure and industrial structure will change: the consumption structure gradually updates and gets more and more rational, industrial layout and industrial cluster become rationalized and centralized. To build a harmonious society, in the aspect of economic development, it not only requests the harmony of consumption structure and industrial structure, but also requires the harmony between consumption structure and industrial structure.In the paper, the author takes Weihai City as an example, trying to analyze the relationship between the consumption structure and industrial structure, in order to carry out a harmonious development based on the present conditions of the consumption structure and industrial structure and putting forward some suggestions of how to improve the consumption structure and industrial structure. In this thesis, the author employs the following research steps: "present research of consumption structure"—"the trend of consumption structure rationalization"—"the measure of consumption structure and industrial structure harmony degrees"—"the industrial structure adjustment under consumption structure rationalization" , and on the foundation of the qualitative analysis, modeling it by making of the model of ELES, analyzes the present consumption structure in Weihai. After analyzing the marginal propensity to consume, price elasticity of demand and income elasticity of demand, the author puts forward a reasonable value for the consumption structure. On the basis of the harmony theories, the author sets up a model of consumption structure and industrial structure to measure the harmony degrees between them, and analyzes the reasons of disharmony between a certain consumption object and the industrial structure. Furthermore, the author proposes the direction of adjusting the first industry, the second industry and the third industry in Weihai.Under the positive analysis, the author gets the following conclusions: The consumption structure in Weihai inclines to be reasonable, and the consumption layer structure and the appearance structure tend to be rationalized. Consumption structure and industrial structure are basically in a harmonious situation, but the consumptions such as food, transportation and communication items do not fit harmonious with the current industrial structure. Under the background of creating the "A" matrix structure for district integration of Weihai City, the consumption space structure optimizes, but the industrial structure needs to be further adjusted. Generally speaking, Weihai now is in the phase of middle industrialization, with an industrial structure featuring "second-third-first" . Compared with other economic developed cities in China, the first industry occupies a large proportions, the third industry is lagging far behind. The first industry needs to emphasize the ocean economy, especially the fishery economy. The second industry needs to push forward the strategic adjustment of manufacturing structure in order to comply with the economic tendency of Jiaodong Peninsula Base of Manufacturing Industry (JPBMI). The third industry needs to develop special tourism and improve a modernized service industry, so as to the industrial structure change to a "third-second-first" industry model.In this paper, the author has provided some practically instructive suggestions to the direction of economic development and the realization of harmonious economic development in Weihai. At the same time of protecting of its special natural resources, it is also necessary to intensify the industrial cluster. With the scientific concept of development, constructing the industry development environment, focusing on the feature industry and the advantageous industry speed up the programming and the construction of the district of the Industry Park, Science and Technology Park, setting up the supportive measures, bringing along the domino effect through leading enterprises and attaching high importance to talents, reserving ample spare industrial workers and professional management people.
