Studies On The Relationship Between Modern Logistics Industry And Industrial Structure Rationalization In Shanghai

Modern logistics industry is a strategic component of modern service industry, which is integrated with fragmented transport, storage, loading and unloading, delivery, packing, distribution processing, information processing, and other basic functions. In accordance with the demands of the central government and economical globalization background, promoting the development of modern logistics industry in Shanghai is very important for speeding up the formation of service-oriented economy structure, improving its comprehensive service function, and boosting its international competitiveness.Starting from the connotation of modern logistics, this paper tries to build a function evaluation system for modern logistics industry on rationalization of industrial structure from several aspects: its important role in promoting economic development, the coordination of the proportion of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, the quality improvement of the three industries, and the influence on employment. Taking the industrial structure and the development of modern logistics industry in Shanghai into considerations, the paper analyzes the beneficial effects of the development of modern logistics industry on industrial structure rationalization in Shanghai. Finally, based on the analysis of the development status of modern logistics industry in Shanghai, useful countermeasures and policy suggestions about modern logistics development on industrial structure rationalization are put forward.This dissertation consists of six chapters. Chapter One is an introduction, which introduces the background and foundations of my choice topic (the topic), and significance and methods of this thesis. Chapter Two focuses on the explanation of some important concepts and a review of related theories. Chapter Three: a function evaluation system for modern logistics industry on rationalization of industrial structure is established, based on its contribution on economic growth, the coordination of the proportion of three industries, and employment. Chapter Four: taking advantage of the obtained evaluation system, the promoter action of Shanghai's modern logistics industry on industrial structure is thoroughly analyzed from which the conclusion can be drawn that modern logistics development in Shanghai will be playing an increasingly important role in industrial structure rationalization. In Chapter Five, the analysis of the development status of modern logistics industry in Shanghai is carried out. Based on the analysis results, useful countermeasures and policy suggestions are proposed. Chapter Six is the conclusion.
