The core of enterprises competition lies on the competition of talents. Salary and reward play an essential role in attracting more competent employees. Therefore, the issue of salary and reward is one of the most important things in the labor market and the human resource management.The thesis first gives an account of the part played by the salary and reward system and its status in an enterprise and then expounds on the basic theory and principle of the system. The author, with the case study of Shenyang Mobile Company, analyses the present situation and existed problems of its salary and reward system through collecting, sorting out and inducing data and information based on the survey of salary system both of the company and other firms. Moreover, allowing for the company's features, the author makes an attempt to put forward a new salary and reward system on the basis of the value of the post, with the help of a relatively scientific and advanced theory concerned and the results of market research. Being complete and scientific, the new system raised, with base pay, merit pay, bonus, allowance and welfare, places an emphasis on equality, encouragement and competition. Besides, paying attention to the analysis of posts, evaluation of merit and pay range, the new system, valuable and pragmatic both in design and implementation, bridges the gap in the salary and reward system even in the human resoureces.With an aim to improve the company's salary and reward system, the author wishes to provide a vidid case study on the field and makes contribution to the design of salary and reward system.
