The Selection Of Dynamic Members In Agile Manufacturing

The new generation of information-based manufacturing represented by Agile Manufacturing and Dynamic Alliance has become one of the hot topics in manufacturing enterprise research and practice. It is an inevitable trend for the modern manufacturing enterprise employing information technology to reform the traditional manufacturing.In virtual enterprise, the selection of enterprise with high efficiency to constitute a Dynamic Alliance is the essential issue for dynamic member selection of Agile Manufacturing. The production efficiency shows the degrees of various factors affect the production in enterprise, and also shows the productivity and competitive of enterprise. When selecting Dynamic Members, the leader of alliance can evaluate the efficiency of candidate enterprises. The enterprise efficiency always relate to two factors, which are input and output. However, in fact, the input factors of enterprise always are too much, and the output factor is Output value. Production Function is one of methods for efficiency evaluating. Typically, Labor and Capital are two key input factors. However, in fact, the key input factors may different from industry to industry in actual evaluation under specific circumstances. Based on attribute reduction of rough set theory, this paper firstly gets reduced impacts of efficiency in iron & steel enterprise. Then estimates their efficiency values using Frontier Production Function. Finally, selecting the enterprise with superior efficiency value to constitute the Dynamic Alliance.This paper analyze the efficienciy of 13 iron & steel enterprises in China according to the actual input and output values, we first reduce the attributes by Rough Set, find out the key input factors, and then calculate the efficiency value by Frontier Production Function, the result is as same as the truth, it means this method has good practicability and veracity, and the method can be employed to select the members in Dynamic Alliance effectively. So evaluating the efficiency of enterprise with the Frontier Production Function based on Rough Set, can help the leader of alliance to select the enterprise with superior efficiency value and constitute the Dynamic Alliance.
