Product development is the key factor to a company's living and development. The core factor of success of the product development is quality, marketing speed and cost. In order to shorten the development cycle, Concurrent Engineering (CE) was introduced into connector development in Foxconn. But because the current development quality assurance methods are not adaptive to the CE environment, the effect is not so good. So,it is very important to apply effective quality management methods. The objective of this thesis is to set up quality assurance model of connector development in CE environment, and perform preliminary study of the application of QFD in connector development.Six chapters are included in this thesis. Chapter one is about the introduction which mainly included background, state of the art, contents, study process and so on. In chapter two, the traditional development model and quality management methods of connector development in Foxconn are included. In chapter three, the basic principle of CE and the change of development process leaded by CE are introduced, and the problem of current quality management of Foxconn is analyzed. In chapter four, the principle of QFD is included, the analysis of the influence of QFD in connector development is given, and the scheme of the application of QFD in connector development is brought up. In chapter five, the connector QFD model is set up through the example of FPC connector, and AHP is applied to decide the importance of customer requirements. In chapter six, the conclusion is given, and the following improvement work is brought up.
