In recent years,due to the impact of the international economy and environment,the connector market in Europe,America and Japan began to slow down,while the connector market in China showed an upward trend and became the fastest growing market in the world.The connectors used in the industry are 3C consumer electronics,communications,electrical appliances,automotive,aerospace,military,industrial and other fields.Among them,automotive connectors account for about 23% of the global connector market,which is the largest market for connector applications.Communication connectors account for about 21% of the global connector market,which is the second largest market.Consumer electronics,industrial areas accounted for more than 10% of the connector applications will become the third largest market.Therefore,the automotive industry for the connector demand potential is huge,many 3C consumer connector companies began to transform into the automotive connector field.TP company is a small 3C consumer connector enterprises,has been engaged in the 3C products connector design,development,production,manufacturing,assembly,sales through-train connector companies.As the company continues to expand and expand,the consumer electronics industry is no longer enough for the company's future.Therefore,after the company's research and market analysis,the company decided to adjust the business strategy,not only involving the electronics industry,but also to increase the pace into the field of automotive connectors.The company has always been in the 3C consumer industry,and the Quality system USES IPD management system,while the Quality management system of the automobile industry is APQP(Advanced Product Quality Planning).The biggest difference between APQP and IPD is that APQP carries out complete quality planning in the early stage,while IPD only carries out some simple R&D process management.Therefore,TP company's new product development and quality planning is very weak.In the early stage of new product development,due to product design and development,process design and development,the ability of product quality planning in the early stage of serious shortage,in the later stage of products cannot achieve manufacturability and batch production.So much so that in the research and development process,led to a lot of automotive industry customer loss and early investment all wasted,caused a major loss to the company,affecting the reputation of the company.How to ensure the early quality development of TP company,and the smooth development in the market of automotive connector applications,will become the most urgent problem to be solved by TP company.This paper takes TP company as an example to transform the non-automobile industry into an enterprise in the automobile industry,and achieves a smooth transformation through APQP methodology and project management theory.APQP divides the project into five phases: planning and identification,product design and development,process design and development,product and process validation,evaluation,and corrective action.APQP quality core tools: early product quality planning APQP;Failure mode and effect analysis(FMEA);Measurement system analysis(MSA);Statistical process control(SPC);Manufacturing parts approval process(PPAP).Three organizational structures of project management: functional organizational structure,project organizational structure,matrix organizational structure;Through the project management of the nine major areas: scope,time,cost,quality,human resources,communications,risk,procurement,general management.Achieve customer delivery time,cost,quality,process and technology requirements,to reach the international advanced automotive connector industry quality management level in the early stage.Although the application of APQP in early product quality planning and project management in automobile industry is not new,it has certain reference significance for enterprises that are entering the automobile industry from non-automobile industry.At the same time,in the current academic and business circles,there is little attention and research in this aspect.Therefore,the research of this topic not only conforms to the development of the future,but also has certain practical reference significance.
