A Comparative Research On The Driven Mode Between Jiangsu's And Zhejiang's Foreign Trade

Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province are both at the coastal area of southeast China and belong to "Long Triangle" Economic Zone. They started earlier in China's economic system transformation and have much common ground in economic development and foreign economic trade. They have such similar background as low labor force cost, strong support of the preferential open policy and better geographical position on the aspect of what kind of trade development mode should be adopted. At the premises of the commonness of making full use of developing the comparative advantages of foreign trade, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province bring their own comparative advantages into full play, actively participate in the economic globalization process and have successfully formed their own different regional economic characteristics and trade driving modes on the basis of comprehensive consideration of development drive, energy and market demand of foreign trade.The foreign trade development of Jiangsu Province is driven by external force, which is mainly characterized by foreign fond and technology introduction and vertical trade within the industry with processing trade as the major approach; that of Zhejiang Province is driven internally, which takes the general trade of local privately operated enterprises as the carrier to promote the foreign trade development and attract the foreign investment. Therefore, to compare and do research on the features of typical trade development mode and the reasons of formation and reveal the system demonstration effect and development demonstration effect are of great significance for China's other provinces to develop foreign trade. Meanwhile, it is meaningful both theoretically and realistically to analyze the disadvantages of two trade development modes at present, search for their development trend so as to put forward the suggestions for the optimized approach and sustained development of their foreign trade development through generalizing the experiences and rules of these two driven modes.This thesis starts with classic trade theory and ends by the optimized approach for Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province's foreign trade development. In the thesis, the writer uses a variety of research tools, such as a combination of the quantitative and the qualitative as well as theory and demonstration. First of all, this thesis briefly describes classic trade theory, by which the writer summarizes the factors to decide regional trade development mode. Then the writer discusses their own characteristics and reasons of foreign trade in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province. In chapter Four, the writer analyzes the regional economic growth effect from multiple perspectives, which provides the demonstration support for the theoretical analysis. On the basis of thesupport for the theoretical analysis. On the basis of the previous theory and demonstration analysis, in Chapter Five, the writer discusses their development trend and puts forward the optimized approaches and suggestions aiming at the existing problems in the development mode of present foreign trade. At last, the writer makes a brief summary on this thesis.
