In developed countries such as America and Japan, economy hotel is a successful pattern of hotels. As displayed in some Statistics, proportion about economy chain hotel to luxurious star level hotel is 7:3, economy hotel in our country is in starting phase comparatively, and still have space. How to develop the economy hotel quicker and better, adapts to the need of tourism and business, reacheing advanced international level, that is starting point and ultimate home of this study.For a long time, our country always ex parte advocate international conventions in hotel, the standard looks on star level as guiding, and target market distribution is unreasonable , the appearance and development of economy hotel is a sign of our hotel industry maturance. Economy in Our country develops further, the market demands changes unceasingly, there are more than 1 billion persons traveling aroud homeland every year over the past few years, and the figure is increasing. Meanwhile, as the close of 2008 Olympiad and Shanghai World's exposition in 2010, more and more people will come china, which will provide objective chances for developing economy hotel, the economy hotel will become a hot field. The famous international hotel infiltrated into China with its maturous economy hotel brand, and domestic investor founded economy chain hotels, the competition pattern is changing. How to develop our economy hotel has become an urgent queation we must solve exigent. Therefore, we study economy hotel on its connotation, analysize its characteristics and current situation, to find out methods of developing.The mumber of economy hotel in our country is smaller than the demand at present, the strategy to win in our country is to develop chain development and individuation, responds to international maturous brand's impulsion, our economy hotels have to perfect themselves to fit different customers.The article first explains studying background and purpose, and describes frame and methods. Then explains intension, characteristics and classification of economy hotel, reviews the developing course of economy hotel. Following, we describes the status quo, analysis the market environment, enumerate the obstacle factors on developing way. After we analysis the economy hotel with the SWOT method, we reach brand-rization development of our country economy hotel.The main strategies are Corp.-rization, difference-rization, and brand-rization, certainly we must ensure the safeguard, such as human resources, total quality management, finance and so on. And the article set "home inn" as a successful example to fit our stratadies.Finally, we make a prospect looking into the distance.
