With the development of the economic globalization and the coming of the knowledge-based economy, knowledge workers are of most importance to the enterprises. The management of the knowledge workers is one of the most important research issue of the specialist and enterprises both in China and abroad. In management practice, many multinational corporations meet a lot of difficulties in the knowledge workers management. So how to excavate the talent and motivate the working enthusiasm and help them make the self-fulfillment, form an effective motivation system in the multinational corporation is the key to a company's development.In this situation, this thesis discussed the significance and the satisfaction of the motivators, the subjective perceptions and actual requirement of Chinese and alien knowledge workers in the Sinitic multinational corporation. I hope this research can help Chinese multinational corporations to improve the management of Chinese and alien knowledge workers, enhance their satisfaction, and enrich the multi-culture motivation theory in Chinese culture background.This thesis chose one big Chinese multinational technology corporation as research object. The research mainly used descriptive statistical methods, T test and one-way ANOVA, correlate and regression methods. The paper mainly analyzed the significance and the satisfaction of the motivators and explored the motivate effects, and further analyzed the difference of the significance and the satisfaction and the motivate effects of the motivators with different background variables of the Chinese and alien knowledge workers, and analyzed the forecast capabilities of the motivators satisfaction to the overall satisfaction. The findings of the paper are as follows:There are four kinds of motivators to knowledge workers: self-development motivator, working motivator, working climate motivator and exterior terms motivator. Both Chinese and alien knowledge workers are pay highly attention on the significance of the motivators and they feel moderating satisfied with the motivators. The Chinese and alien knowledge workers with different background variables have different preference and satisfaction. The incentive effects to the Chinese and alien knowledge workers with different background variables are different. Self-development motivator satisfaction, working motivator satisfaction and working climate motivator satisfaction can predict the overall satisfaction efficiently. Therefore to the multinational corporation manager, Self-development motivator is the core of motivating the Chinese and alien knowledge workers and other types of motivators to implement. It is necessary to know the real requirements of the Chinese and alien knowledge workers and motivate them considering individual differences. Meantime, build a harmonious working climate and improve the working efficiency with the alien workers under the diverse culture background.According the conclusions of the research, the thesis make the prospect for the future, and propose feasible suggestions to the Chinese multinational corporation which I hope can offer some help to the corporation we researched and the cross-culture management in other Chinese multinational corporations.
