The Research On Labor Force Supply And Demand In Northeast Provinces Of China

Northeast provinces of China were the first industrial area in Chinese history. In 2003, the government carried out the policy of developing the old industry area of northeast China. At present, the provinces of northeast China area are at the stage of active labor population transformation. It is necessary to concern the trend and change of labor force supply and demand.There are five chapters in this article.The first chapter is the change and characteristic of the labor force supply in northeast China area. It analyzes the quantity, quality and structure of labor force supply in northeast China. The provinces of northeast China area are districts which have an abundance of labor force supply and higher labor force proportion. It is well educational level in northeast China area. But the proportion of highest education labor force is lower than the developed area. In northeast China area, the age structure of labor force is transforming to aging.The second chapter is the forecast and trend analysis of labor force supply in northeast China area. It forecast the quantity and structure of labor force supply in three provinces, employing PEOPLE software. The amount of labor force will increase fist reach the peak in 2010. After that, it will decrease each year. In 2050, the amount of labor force will get to the half amount of 2000. The active labor force will be confronted with aging problem.The third chapter is analysis of labor force demand in northeast provinces of China. This paper discusses some factors which will influence on labor force demand, including economic growth, economic structural adjustment and advance of science and technology. It also forecasts the trend of labor force demand of northeast provinces in the future. After 2003, economic growth can bring the relevant growth of labor force demand. The economic growth of tertiary industry can pool the increase amount of labor force demand well. The advance of science and technology is not bringing the prospective growth of labor force demand. The proportion of labor force demand in tertiary industry constantly goes up with the modulation of industrial structure. In the future, the increase of labor force demand will primarily depend on the development of tertiary industry.The forth chapter is compared analysis of labor force supply in northeast area. It makes a comparison in the area and between the districts. It also analyzes the imbalance between the labor force supply and labor force demand. The status of labor force supply in Liaoning province is better than it in other two provinces. The situation of labor force supply in northeast area is higher than the average level in the country. Compared with developed area, the northeast area should improve the quality of labor force supply. According to relevant data, the amount of labor force supply is more than the labor force demand. The imbalance between supply and demand will exist in future.The fifth chapter is some countermeasures of imbalance between labor force supply and demand. This section gives several advices to the imbalance problem between the labor force supply and demand in northeast China area. The advices included encouraging the irregular employment, enhancing the skill educational level, accelerating the building of the labor force market and using the outside resource.
