Research On The Space Change Of The Usage Of The Urban Lands In Nanjing

With the development of urbanlization and market economy and with the change of the function of Government, the space structure of urban lands in China has changed significantly. Based on the practice and the theory which is from the analysis of the researches on the urban space structure on a national and internation level, this essay analyses the courses of the change of the exterior morphology and inner structure of the usage of the urban lands in Nanjing and concludes the characteristics of the change of urban space in Nanjing and the mechnism of power and further discuss the layout of the urban space structure in Nanjing in the future with the purpose of providing an specific example for the research of the urban space structure in China.This essay consists of the following five parts.Part 1.Preface. First,it introduction of the urban lands. And then, the city morphology and the urban space structure will be compared and the structure of the usage of the urban space and its change will be defined. Then, the background,the significance of this research , the research method and frame will be mentioned briefly.Part 2.The theory and practice of the urban space morphology and research on the structure of the land usage within and without China. In this part, the basic theory on the structure of urban space will be introduced firstly. Then, the characteristics of the researches on the urban space structure in China and in some developed western countries will be compared and analyzed and the history of research ,the current situation and trend will be conclude after that. Finally, the effect from the government manipulate on this topic will be raised.Part 3. The changing course of the urban space morphology in Nanjing. First, the roots and development of Nanjing city will be introduced. Then, the expanding situation of Nanjing city after the founding of China will be analyzed in details. This part will focus on the expanding situation of the land usage in the area which has been built. Finally, the characteristics of the expanding of urban space in Nanjing and the courses of those will be concluded.Part 4.The change of the inner space structure in Nanjing city. First, the history of the inner space structure in Nanjing city will be introduced. Then, the current situation of the structure of the inner space will be discussed from three levels: the urban area, the center area of the city and new areas of the city. Finally, the characteristics of the inner space structure in Nanjing and the courses of those will be concluded.Part 5.The trend of the usage of urban lands in Nanjing. The paper first summarized the power mechanism of space expanding in the Nanjing city, has the forecast to the place development, and points out land space expansion in the Nanjing city is under the dynamic action spatial migration inside and outside the urban development. There are mainly exterior power which urges the city space expanding: (1) high growth in population and economical; (2) government regulation; (3) development in transportation. Then the paper points out the development pattern to form the axial multi- cores easily in the space development to Nanjing city ustilization. Finally it gives some suggestions to the future spatial structure layout to the Nanjing city, (1) the reasonable arrangement in the layout of city ustilization, including optimized the host city to use the layout, the construction in the wide-open area, optimized the new urban district to use the layout structure; (2) Intensive urbanization.Part 6. Conclusion and forecast. A conclusion on this research will be provided. Then the objective and subjective difficulties encountered in this research will be analyzed. Finally, some problems are emphasized for the future study.
