Now the world is through a great change, the enterprises are continually reforming the systems of organizations, esp. since our country joined the WTO the outer circumstances of the business management have been changing greatly. A key factor that decides the success of a company is the company's strategy that is whether the company chooses a scientific, reasonable and practical strategy. Company's strategy is a kind of balancing creed between the company and the ever-changing circumstance. It prescribes the direction of the company's development and carries out the general, long-term and instructional principal and scheme that should follow when the company meets with the managing problems. The enterprises strive for long-term existence and uninterrupted growth, so we must formulate a proper developing strategy to make the business management fit for the situation.This paper employs the carry out the research of the theories of relative advantage and SWOT analysis to company's strategy of Sinopec Guangzhou Company. Sinopec Guangzhou Company formed from the good assets of the former Sinopec Guangzhou Refinery. Now the outer circumstances of the enterprise become severe the internal deep conflicts are more prominent, the existence and growth of the enterprise has already become the first problem faced ahead of the enterprise .Under the complicated and varied outer circumstances, Sinopec Guangzhou Company has both advantages and disadvantages, both opportunities and threats. The company has confirmed the major advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats through SWOT, and then the comparative strategy and counter measure. Sinopec Guangzhou Company should lay further stress on primary business, optimize the key business, carry out the continue able developing strategy, scale economic development strategy, low-cost strategy, technological innovation strategy.In the author pointed out Sinopec Guangzhou Company the strategic countermeasure is: The cultivation enterprise core competitive power, cultivates the enterprise culture - responsibility culture which Sinopec Guangzhou Company, the technological innovation, the talented person is popular business, the foundation study organization. Implements the cost leading strategy: Joins the Sinopec Guangzhou Company industry chain, the realization economies of scale, implements the cost control, does the tapping latent potentialities efficiency work vigorously, carries out the standards activity positively, the promotion economical technical specification. By innovating in ideas, systems, regulations and managements, let's devote major efforts to developing the chemical industry, improving the refining structure, opening up the markets with superior products and services, making economic benefits with both low cost and high additional value, creating with fine culture, totally raising the competitive ability of the enterprise. Finally the aim will be achieved that is to make Sinopec Guangzhou Company a better, larger and more powerful petrochemical enterprise with international competitive ability.
