Competition fields of the telecommunication industry in China are changing from network technology and price to marketing channels and terminals. Marketing channels are the important part of marketing and customer service, and the key to acquire the new competition predominance for telecommunication companies. In the managing value chain of Hu'nan Unicom, marketing channels are the bridge between Hu'nan Unicom and consumer market, and can extend the running fields and collect the marketing information. So marketing channels are the last but main flow part for a company's decision can arrive to the market and effect the market if or not.The main contents and fruits of this paper are outlined as follows:Firstly, the paper studies how to select and manage the marketing channels of telecommunication companies, and analyses the need of building the marketing channels and the influence factors to select the marketing channels. Then it brings forward the principles and the basic steps to select the marketing channels for telecommunication companies. The primary task of managing the marketing channels for telecommunication companies is to eliminate the potential conflicts in the marketing channels, to improve the satisfaction grade and the positivity of channels member, to boost the coordination of the channels, and to increase the efficiency. That is studied deeply in the paper.Secondly, the paper designs the marketing channels managing system of Hu'nan Unicom based on the real states and circumstances of Hu'nan Unicom. The paper analyses the function and the phased planning of the system. From the point of view of users, the system includes four subsystems: the channels managing subsystem, the mobile selling subsystem, the direct-selling managing subsystem and the background managing subsystem.Thirdly, the paper analyses how to realize the function modules of the channels managing subsystem. There are many function modules in the channels managing subsystem, including: the module of login information management, the module of basic information management, the module of daily management, the module of examine & evaluation, the module of stock report management, the module of selling management, the module of message management and the module of password modification.The marketing channels managing system is actualized in Hu'nan Unicom. Nowadays, Hu'nan Unicom can realize the systematization of daily management by way of the information system. Working load of the workers in Hu'nan Unicom is lightened. Clarity and veracity of management in Hu'nan Unicom are improved. Marketing competence and payoff are increased remarkably. The academic analysis and the applied search of the paper are valuable.
