An Anylasis On The Changes Of The State-Owned Foreign Trade Enterprises At Current Situation

The state-owned foreign trade enterprises were resulted from our planned economy.They used to be the main force of China's foreign trade and had very brilliant history. Butwith the turning from planned economy to market economy, almost all those favoritepolicies to state-owned foreign trade enterprises were abolished. Many drawbacks andnaturally born weakness in these enterprises emerge and they fall into difficulties as a result.Then what should the state-owned foreign trade enterprises do to recognize the currentsituation and to deal with difficulties? The author tries to discuss and answer these questionsin the thesis.This thesis is composed of five chapters.In the first chapter, going on the developing trace, the author analyzes the features ofeach historical stage as well as the advantages and disadvantages in the view of system andstructure.In the second chapter, the author makes detailed analysis on economic environment ofwhich the state-owned foreign trade enterprises faces both in domestic and international. Atfirst, the author analyzes the effects on our foreign trade of the changes of the global economy.The international economic influence factors includes globalization of the world economy,World Trade Organization,, the developed countries change their industrial structure and thedeveloping countries develope their economy, etc. Secondly, the author analyzes our domesticeconomic situation. The state change the macro-economic policies causes great influences onthe state-owned foreign trade enterprises, the other influential factors includes joint ventures,cooperatively managed enterprises, foreign enterprises, industrial and commercial enterprisesand privately owned foreign trade companies.In the third chapter, the author analyzes the current situations of the state-owned foreigntrade enterprises. There are many difficulties and problems in the foreign trade companies atpresent, the reasons of which causes the difficulties and problems are very complex as itincludes the changes of macro-economic policies as well as the problems in the companiesitself, it includes not only the problems from history but also the difficulties at present, it hasthe problems in management naturally born weakness in system and structure.In the forth chapter, the author analyzes the driving forces for reforming. The drivingforces include not only the opportunities and challenges caused by WTO and electroniccommerce besides the great pressure from their own difficulty situation, but also the drivingpower from the realignment of state-owned assets at present. The fifth chapter is a crucial important part of the thesis, the author proposesreforming strategies and measures for the professional foreign trade enterprises, based on thefirst four chapters.The author come to an conclusion: the state-owned companies will die out completely,they will be replaced by the enterprises which is not state-owned and/or which is notprofessional ones, many kinds of companies will emerge both in different ownership andorganizational makeup.
