Nowadays university students'unemployment problem is highlighted in China under economic restructuring, university enrollment enlarging and employment system reforming, etc. This problem not only indicates that contradiction between supply and demand of human resources, discord of education and social development, but also means that investment obtain no returns of country and family. If we can not solve this problem efficient in long-term, it will affect our people's positive attitude on education investment, even has negative impact on economic development and social stability. Therefore, studying this has strong sense of reality and urgency.Basing on foreign and domestic outcome, this paper is divided into four parts specifically.Chapter one define the concept of university students'unemployment form the viewpoint of Edwards, and it divides the types of unemployment.Chapter two describes the state of university students'unemployment from the following four aspects: employment rate of university students, unopened unemployment, structural employment and"zero wage employment"group.Chapter three combines characteristics of labor market at present stage with employment expectations of students, and analyze several main types of unemployment theoretically by utilizing dual labor market segmentation theory, position competition theory, structural unemployment theory, human capital theory and professional screening theory.Chapter four comes up with the strategies for improving students'unemployment from three aspects, increasing social demand of students, improving supply of students and optimizing institution environment.
