In the time of global competition and knowledge competition, automobile industry has become one of leading industries with typical significance in the process of economic globalization. With the continuous advancement of international division of labor patterns, the development of automobile industry has also broken through the limit of national boundaries and showed the feature of globalization. On the one hand, foreign automobile corporations annex and reunite in large-scales unceasingly, thus form huge multinational corporations; on the other hand, the industrial chains of automobile industry are extending among the world, which fundamentally change the way of resources allocation and the competitive patterns among corporations. The competitions among corporations are no longer the traditional competitions of products and markets, but shows the feature of core competition. Since China's entry into WTO, her market opening degree and the degree of her participating in the world economic integration are deepening. China's automobile market is becoming a part of world automobile market, and China automobile corporations will participate in the international competition directly. Under this situation, more and more intelligent people come to realize: changing the unfavorable prospects (China automobile corporation is in the end of value chain) and promoting the international competitive capacity of China automobile corporations, we should nurture and promote our own core competitive capacity, which belongs to China automobile corporations.After 50 years of development , China's automobile industry has formed a comparatively perfect industrial system, and it also plays an important role in national economy. Under the new situation of economic globalization, China automobile corporations'advantages in techniques, brands, stock-holding rights and market shares are losing gradually, our core competitive capacity is still on the stage of exploring and fostering , and our advantage in competition is not very obvious. There still exist many unfavorable factors such as weak in technical innovation power, short of self-reliant brands , lack of experiences in management and deficient in corporation culture, all of which make China difficult to compete in international competition.To change this unfavorable situation, in the opinion of the author , we must begin by nurturing our own core competitive capacity. Fortunately, after years of development, China automobile industry has cultivated some advantages in core competition, formed a batch of corporations (which possess large strength) and trained a team of talented persons (who have great ability in management and scientific research), all of these factors make China possess comparative high ability in whole manufacturing. Basing on this, this thesis puts forward the idea of constituting a triangular model for the core competitive capacity of China automobile industry. The author thinks that the core competition capacity of China automobile industry can be constituted from four aspects, (namely,they are technical innovation, corporation culture, self-reliant brands and industrial pool ), which are arranged by perfect management. Then it discusses the methods and patterns for nurturing the core competitive capacity from the above four aspects respectively. Specifically, we will be independent in technique by means of introducing foreign techniques and disgesting them; locating on mass brands, creating good brand images and building"four in one"marketing system; building study-centered groups, cultivating team-work spirits nurturing corporation culture with national characteristics; and establishing China's automobile industrial pool.Altogether there are four chapters in my thesis.Chapter 1 is the preface. In this part, the topic of the thesis is put forward to, and some relevant theoretic principles and studies are to be introduced. Besides, the author would draft the outline and his research approaches to this thesis.Chapter 2 first describes the general core competition theory, and then theoretically analyses the features and the inscape of the automobile corporations competitive capacity.Chapter 3 exams the trends of global automobile industry's development and the current situation of cross-national automobile corporation core competitive capacity under the situation of economic integration, and analyses the current situation of the core competitive capacity of our country's automobile corporation from the perspective of mathematic calculating model. Chapter 4 theoretically summarizes the measures and approaches to cultivate and elevate our country's automobile corporation core competitive capacity. In this chapter, the priority that our country's automobile industry embraces in the process of cultivating core competitive capacity is to be analysed, and a triangular model (which is made up of technical innovation, corporation culture, self-reliant brands and industrial pool), for the core competition capacity is to be made clear. At last, the author discusses the methods ang strategies on nurturing China automobile industry's core competition capacity by analyzing the inner way of technique innovation, national brands and excellent industrial cultures and the outer way of industrial pool.
