The Study On The Stability Of Strategy Alliances Of The Third-party Logistics

This paper mainly studies on the problems related to the stability of the strategic alliances ofthird-party logistics (TPL) enterprises. Ever since 1980s, there has been a upward tendency tostrategic alliances globally, but evidences show that the alliances grow with severe instabilityproblem. The high risk and high-rate failure make the TPL enterprises flinch from strategicalliance, and confine the development of strategic alliances. Therefore, it is important to figureout the stability influence factors and to provide effective protective measures.This study first analyzes the reasons and models of strategic alliances of TPL enterprises,then deduces the meaning of stability of TPL enterprises strategic alliances based on theinstability theories by other scholars. It brings forward four stability influence factors (thematch of alliances, asset specificity, the balance of competition and cooperation, and mutual trust)on the base of key steps of alliance buildup, resource-based theory, and social dilemma theory.And it explains the key measures to improve the alliances stability against the factors to providetheoretical gist for the building of TPL enterprises strategic alliances in China.
