With the development of economic globalization, international industrial adjustment and transfer, the competition between cities is increasingly fierce. City marketing, as a whole new idea of urban management, has been accepted by more and more scholars and urban managers. Also it has been developed into an effective method and important strategy choice to improve the development of cities and increase the competitiveness of cities. Zhuhai, one of special economic regions, is faced with the serious challenge of getting competitive come from home and abroad. How to implementing the city marketing strategy effectively? How to search a most suitable development orientation and make optimal adjusting so as to increase its urban competitiveness constantly? These are important questions for Zhuhai to settle.By studying advanced scientific achievements home and abroad, learning the development experience from other cities, this thesis tries to construct theory frame of city marketing, and introduce its ideas and methods into urban management process of Zhuhai. The main aim is to search the city marketing strategy of Zhuhai so as to intensify city competition.There are five parts in this thesis. First is introduction, its major purport was: background and meaning of this study, scientific achievements and practical experience of city marketing, and research contents and methods used in this thesis. The second part mainly expounds basic theory of city marketing from theory of knowledge and strategic system. In third part, the object discussed is construction of city marketing strategy of Zhuhai, in this part, by studying how to construct strategy and programmer of Zhuhai. The fourth part emphasizes how to branch out into strategic activities after working out the city marketing strategies. In last part, authors summarize this thesis, point out the innovation points also deficiencies, and carry on an outlook to this research foreground.
