With the development of social economy and culture, the individual demand for tourism consumption has gone up. Tourism consumer's recognition of self-determination and participation has been enhanced greatly. Tourism product exploitation needs to lay more emphasis on individuation, memorable motifs and culture interaction. Taking the times characteristics as the main motif, this article discusses how to enhance and extend tourist experience in the age of experience economy, thus offering theoretical guidelines and instructions for developing deeper-experience tourism products with greater potential investment payback and favorable social interests.A brief review of relevant theories concerning tourism products and experience economy helps define the research domain of this article. Then the author discusses the status quo and problems of existing tourism products with reference to some principles of tourism product exploitation from the perspective of experience economy, combining experience economy with tourism products.A case study of holiday tourism product demonstrates the experience characteristics of product exploitation in the age of experience economy. The last part of the article highlights the previous sections and points out the future trend of tourism product exploitation as well as some questions for further study.
