After entering WTO, international environment of Chinese agriculture heavily changed, on the one hand, nominal barriers (tariff, quota system) lightened because of this, but on the other hand, "green barrier" will be more firmly, and will also be a new, main kind of trade barrier.It is a mode of protection trade that the developed countries utilized gap in the protection environment between the developing ones and them. What's more, many products are high pollution, wasted resource and uncalculating in the developing countries. So "green barrier" brought out more and more influences on our export trade in the method of legitimacy in form, universality in connotation, concealment in protection fashion etc. However, there is direct, tight relation between manufacture, usage, consumption, disposal of our farm products and environment, which made our farm products entering international market difficultly. Especially in recent years, green barrier has become the biggest obstacle to our country's product export with massive pressure and serious challenge brought by it。Our country is a big agricultural country and trade of agriculture products occupies a big share in our country's export, Therefore, with the premises of a new round of trade protection tendency, it is imperative that we deeply study the green barrier problems existing in Our country's agriculture products export to breakthrough the green barriers and expand China's export of agricultural products, granting China's agricultural products a favorable position in international competition.Combining the current international economic situation and the appearing background of green barrier, the paper gives the scientific definition of it. It also combines fundamental theory of international trade and the core of environmental protection of international trade. It analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the exports of agricultural products. In the process of analysis, persists in integrating theory with practice and make the theory and pragmatism reach unification. The paper first analyses the background, characteristics and forms of green barrier. It gets the relationships between the green barrier and agricultural products export. Secondly, through the further analysis to the reasons of green barrier of agricultural products exports, finds out the main problems in the process of it. Thirdly, by the case study of Japan Positive List System's effect to our agricultural products which are imported to Japan, we have more clear understanding of green barrier. And then get the reason of our products suffering green barrier. At last, puts forwards some measures in dealing with green barrier in agricultural products export.Facing the green barrier, we should face challenge and opportunity that the green barrier brings about to our country agricultural product export trade squarely. Put forward feasible and effective countermeasure timely. This will benefit the development of the agricultural product trade and environment and win advantages in international competition of our agricultural product and promote our country agriculture sustainable development.
