With the constant development of international trade today, a new type of non-tariff barrier has been emerging----green trade barrier of which many countries take advantages to limit the imports from other countries. Green trade barrier has become one of the most effective means of trade protection in the current international trade realm due to its superficial rationality and concealment. In recent years, it has been often reported that our exporters have sustained losses due to Green Barrier. Thus, in the current environment of world trade, it is necessary for our export enterprises to study the Green Trade Barrier. We must conform to the sustained development strategy, bring the government, enterprises and non-governmental organization's function into play, only by doing so, can green trade barriers be bridgeable. Meanwhile, the active countermeasures we have taken can also bring us opportunities. The natural resources and biological environment can be protected. So take a fresh look on the green barrier, make wiser policies and set up more effective countermeasures were on the highest of the agenda, so as to uproot further negative effects on our business activities. This text serves to analyze the nature of green trade barrier from the research of its causes in both positive aspects (such as environmental protection, invention and innovation of new product or new technology, construction of environmental system, etc) and negative aspects (such as hinder of international trade, obstacle of GDPincrease, etc). And the text also explains the functional mechanism of its nature under varied circumstances. In the end, in accordance with the present situation where our export trade more frequently faces the green trade barrier, the text puts forward some countermeasures and proposals that should be taken into account or adopted in our foreign trade business.
