The land intensive use is the important content to build the abstemious social, and it is the effective measure to realize science development view and promote economicsociety's sustainable development comprehensively. The development land intensive use research provides the theory basis and the technical support for the land utilization management and the decision-making, which is extremely urgent and essential. This article applies the comprehensive evaluation method to measure land utilization intensive situation in Chongqing, analyzes the spatial-temporal variance characteristic of land intensive use in the appraisal foundation, and carries on the driving force analysis. It is expected that will provide the basis for the forecast future land utilization intensive trend of development, will provide the macroscopic instruction for land reasonable use. The full text is divided into seven part:First part: Literature summary. Introduces overseas, domestic research progresses of land intensive using and carries on the brief synthesis narration.Second part: Introduction. Summarizes paper's topic selected background and significance. Introduces the rationale about land intensive use and shows the article's research mentality and method.The third part: Summarizes Chongqing's natural environment and the social economy general situation. Dadukou, Banan, Qijiang intensive use composite index enhance unremarkable. Shapingba, Jiulongpo, Tongnan etc area's intensive use composite index descend unremarkable. Jiangjin, Rongchang, Changshou etc area's intensive use composite index drop distinctly .The spatial distribution of Chongqing land intensive use composite index has remarkable difference: The region land intensive use composite index of the main city zone is highest.
