Study On Spatial - Temporal Change And Driving Factors Of Urban Land Use In Wuxi City

Urbanization is an important economic and social phenomenon in today’s society,the primary performance of urbanization is the expansion of urban land.Urban land is also a measure of an important indicator of urbanization.With the rapid development of economy in our country,the process of urbanization has been accelerated.But if only pay attention to the expansion of development while ignoring the connotation development, will not only waste of land resources, also can bring the environment destruction and pollution problems,even threats to the harmonious development of society. The study of urban land change can deepen the understanding of urbanization to provide theoretical and practical reference for the sustainable development of the town. In this paper, on the basis of theoretical research we analyze spatial variation characteristics of urban land and driving factors in the case of Wuxi and put forward the corresponding countermeasures combining with the current situation of the development, aimed at the problems existing in the management of land in Wuxi city. The concrete content includes:1.In the first,this paper reviews the relevant research of domestic and foreign urban land, focusing on the expansion of the urban land pattern, the urban land expansion model and the driven factors.2.This paper analyzeds the urban land spatio-temporal evolution characteristics in the three period using ArcGIS, Erdas remote sensing image technology in the case of Wuxi on the basis of theoretical review. The results show that the urban land expanded year by year in Wuxi, especially after2000year. The changes of urban land structure is primarily the proportion of residential land, industrial land, warehousing land storage and municipal land for public facilitiesuse reduce, the proportion of land for public facilities, road square land and green land increase.3.This paper selects15indicators in economy and technology, politics, natural to research the driving factors of urban land using the canonical correlation analysis.8indicators that the higher correlation with the change of urban land are concluded. Using principal component analysis researchs the main driving factors of urban land spatio-temporal evolution in the three periods in Wuxi city providing a reference basis in the future development of urban land in Wuxi city planning.
