Research On Spatial-Temporal Variance Of Intensive Urban Land Use In Xinjiang Based On GIS

The land is the basis of the city social and economic development, and the effective supply of city land is the important guarantee for urban economic development. In recent years, with the rapid economic and social development, urbanization, industrialization process in the continuous progress, a large number of cultivated land was occupied the contradiction progress, a large number of cultivated land was occupied the contradiction between supply and demand of land become increasingly sharp. Carrying out scientific developing idea and constructing saving society, it is the urgent problem of how to use the limited resources of urban land intensively.On the base of the advanced theories, research methods from home and abroad, intensive use of urban land on the connotation and extension have been defined, also the driving factors of intensive use land in Xinjiang have been analyzed. As the case of nineteen cities of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, from the land input level, the extent of land use, land-use efficiency and land use in four areas of eco-environmental quality, the establishment of a level of intensive use of urban land evaluation system has been done in this paper. Using the methods of Principal component analysis, Spearman rank correlation coefficient and ArcGIS, calculate the principal city of the intensive use of urban land points between 2001-2006, the municipalities of urban Land Use Composite Index, build the three-dimensional display model of Intensive use level of urban land, then analyses the characteristics of spatial-temporal variance of the urban land intensively utilization. Finally, analysis propose measures and advices.On the basis of the analysis of this article,(1)the composite index of urban land intensive use in the cities of Xinjiang has the varying degree enhancement .(2)These cities are classified five types. The cities that had superior level of intensified urban land use of Xinjiang almost distributed in those areas which had more developed secondary and tertiary economic sectors, and more completed municipal infrastructure. However, the lower ones were cities which the animal husbandry was the pillar industry. the level of Urban land-intensive is Basically consistent with the city comprehensive strength of Xinjiang, and it was a positive correlation with the general level of economic development.(3) The characteristics of spatial variance of the urban land intensively utilization is very significant, showing a gradient: from east to west, the level of intensive use of urban land to some extent, a downward trend. Karamay is the highest degree of intensive utilization of land, and Hotan is the lowest one.(4) The most changing of intensive use level in cities of Xinjiang locates North-East - West direction, on the contrast ,the changing is mild.
