Abstract: It occurs at present that the international industrial structure adjusted and reformed. The problem of the industrial structure is an extremely enormous and complex issue,tied up with the economic increase.Recombining the industrial structure has become the important strategic measure cultivating the new economic increase point.On the other hand,some ill evolutive trends of the industrial structure have become the grave obstacle that how to optimally distribute the resource among the industries.If we want to develop economy continually,fast and healthily,we should study the industrial structure and its adjustment and future trend to instruct practice.The industrial structure adjustment is a international task.Global economy integration bring the new chance for our national industry.Shanxi province is the countrywide energy sources and heavy chemistry industry base.It has formed an industry system with the characteristic of the heavy structure and numerous sorts.Coal and electric power are stand out in it.Shanxi is relative occlusive and has underdeveloped information and lower content of conventional science and technology.Therefore,many economist has made some researches to explore how to reasonably use the sources advantage to develop the independent innovative industry and seize the strategic opportunity that the nature promote the middle and west grow up to deepen continually that boost the adjustment of the industrial structure in such a heavy chemistry base as Shanxi.This article start with the industrial structure theory,analyse its generic principle,summarize the primary experience of its adjustment.The central point is to analyse the current status of Shanxi's industrial structure and the main existent problem in it and bring forward the countermeasure that the industrial structure adjustment should adopt based on the future economic environment and .change trend in Shanxi province.
