| As social developing & people's living standard improving step by step, the concept of quality management in people mind was changed gradually also; it was upgraded from"eliminate dissatisfaction"to"pursue satisfaction". It requests enterprises have to continually improve quality to enhance self-competition capability. My thesis just comes from the example of quality improvement in SGM. Making use of DFSS strategy and other statistical engineering methods, this paper systematically analyzes all related causes to Regale's horn mal-function, and optimize the design to correct the defects effectively and improve quality level finally.After implemented the horn project by twelve phases of DFSS strategy, which include refine charter & scope, develop project plan, form team, understand customer needs, build house of quality, generate concept, select concept, conduct FMEA, optimize design, conduct confirmation run, process capability verify and after sales performance tracking, main cause of horn diaphragm crack were investigated metrically. The defect was solved successfully by executing pertinent actions. Moreover, after one by one analyzed relevant potential causes, the design of vehicle low frequence electronic horn was optimized and provides a systematic proposal to solve similar problem in future. |
